“London Dwarfish - Game 2 - London Dwarfish Vs Benetton Treviso RFC

The games was a brutal game, the boys from Benetton Treviso showed no fear and attack the Dwarfs head on!! This worked well until Benjamin de Jager was caught buy the Irish line and London turned the maul and got possession. Mapusua then got the ball and charged down the pitch and put the ball under the posts. To compound the misery of Treviso 5 players with knock-out during the drive and only 2 cam back on.

From the restart the Benetton back line was in disarray and could get control of the ball, but the Exiles could put them under presser and the half ended with only 1 try scored.

The second 40 minutes was a slow affair, the London Irish line held strong, but Hodgson struggled to find a whole in the line, the Humans were going face to face with the Dwarfs and weren't being knocked around! After some drives forward and some pushing back the Exiles finally found a whole and Hodgson and Mapusua broke free, they still almost failed to score when Hodgson passed the ball to Mapusua who knocked it backwards! But they recovered and Mapusua put the ball over the line again for the second try of the game.

My thanks to TommyRamandolo for the game he only had 9 players for the game and he lost a lot of players early on. He gave me a few scares, and I dare say if he had had 11 players it could have well been a draw.
