#3 OldBugman – Dead (RIP)
This was the Canberra Carcasses' first encounter with the green zons and it was a tight game.

A combination of misfortune and mild carelessness hurt the ladies early in the second half and struggled to recover after that.

Although they played very well as a team there were the following standout performances:

3 points: Face Slappa. Who managed to dodge damage the entire game while inflicted damage as heavy as killing OldBugman who was the Carcasses' star player

2 points: Head Splitta. HS managed to position herself so that she was a constant threat to the dead team. She made some good offensive plays to boot.

1 point: Arm Breaka. Who almost drew the game for the zons with a last ditch (successful) attempt at blitzing Shane70, knocking him down only to have Hip Smasha misthrow the desperate pass.

The CC look forward to their next encounter with the lovely green ladies.

SWL Season XXVIII - Gone's Slipper Conference League XXVIII - Round 5

The Carcasses played a flawless offence. As they moved up the pitch, we couldn't seem to do a thing to slow them down, and once they got to the end, the ball was so well protected we couldn't do a thing. It's been a while since I've seen such solid play, and it was impressive indeed.

Half time score: 0-1

Just one little mistake (not covering the approach to the ball sufficiently beforehand) meant that when Face Slappa got herself sent off (without even stunning danielcollins), the Carcasses were able to get their dirty mitts on the ball. From there, we did everything we could, eventually managing to get a hold of the ball and attemptes a big passing! It wasn't to be however, and the half ended scoreless.

Final score: 0-1

3 pts: danielcollins
Took down Elf Bruisa in turn 3 or so, giving the Carcasses the numbers for the remainder of the match. He was also damn annoying, and tied up a lot of players at key points in the match.

2 pts: Covertfun
Made the biggest play of the match, grabbing the ball in two TZs at the start of the second half, and getting it to Shane70 who held onto it for the rest of the match.

1 pt: tribalsinner
For the touchdown. He was very well supported, so it didn't seem to give him much trouble, but when it comes down to it, the score is what matters.
