“The impact of Oval Balls previous game v Valencia can't be stressed highly enough when trying to put some context against this game. With two players "denied" to the coach, Oval Balls were probably short of the staff they needed to make it through this game with any points. In fact Coach Goo was quoted as saying:

"Well I am hoping this team does not take its emulation of me too seriously as this is the kind of game I think they will get that ambition realised all too literally"

The game started with the B'Orca coach finding some extra scraps of armour and issuing it immediately to fearsome team player Gudjohnsen, who was tasked with the job of bringing down the Elven wingers wherever they broke through the lines. Indeed Gudjohnsen turned out to be the critical player in the game, removing two Elves injured, and bringing low countless others.

B'Orca recieved and this time took no chances by allowing Deco to take the ball from the rear and work his way upfield whilst being screened by a horde of brutal looking defenders. The caging worked well and the Orcs were using their numerical advantage to good effect by man marking the Elves at every opportunity.

The man-marking paid off this time as repeatedly the elves failed their dodges allowing the Orcs some unexpected relief in the pressue on the cage.

The half rolled on and Coach Russo was fairly confident in his team to play hard right up until seconds before the half time whistle would be blown. His trust in his players not to flock it up, was rewarded by a series of T8 blocks being put in before the score by Deco.

A brief attempt by the Elves to OTS was stopped by both the ball being one square too deep and a shortage of Elven plyers, though the Orcs had set up in a complex fashion to minimise the chance of the score, you can never rule out a cheat-score by these pesky elves :D

In the second half the Elves recieved and took the ball deep as they are want to :P

Indeed Coach Goo was even witnessed running to the opposition Techincal Area and shouting at Coach Russo. The conversation was transcribed in case any accusations of match-fixing and collusion were ever raised:


<Goo> Hey Russo ya big lummox why have ya not used your Wizzie?
<Russo> What Wizzie ya pointy eared odd-ball-lover?
<Goo> The one behind you on the bench green-pus-faced sow!
<Russo> Him....Oh I forgot about him, I keep thinking he is the Troll's post-match snack....and he will be if he flocks this one up later
<Goo> God I hate it when my opponants dont use their wizzie early on, I mean how on earth am I expected to hold on to a full bladder all game if I have to worry about some loony fungus-eating muppet shooting flames out of his ass at my players!


B'Orca pushed up again trying to man-mark as many Elves as possible, whilst leaving sweepers in place for any wingers that managed to escape the nasty BOB's.

Eventually the Elves decided to make a late dash for the equaliser, but with the help fo the fungus-eater the Orcs managed to get the ball back deap in the B'Orca half. At the same time as this last ditch tackling was going on, the slowest player on the pitch that did NOT have blue skin, managed to angle a run that allowed him to recieve a last ditch pass from Deco and score at the death. Yaya Toure made it 2-0 and game over.
