Considering how to play Lizzies: You utilized valuable Rats to get 2 Dice blocks on Saurus.
You should have used this rats to put Tackle Zones on Skinks, and Blitz a Skink every turn with your favourite Blocker.
Unless you have claws, a Block on a Saurus is unlikely to do anything, so it is a bit of a waste to use 3 players for that.

Apart from that, Consider fouling Skinks even without Dirty player. Stunty acts like a nice Mini DP anyway, and Skinks only have AV7.
Without the eye and lets say 2 assists, you have good odds of getting the Skink off pitch without risking much in return.

#14 Get it Together – Dead (RIP)
The terrible weather plagued the ball handling skills of both rats and skinks alike meaning it came down to a bit of a messy brawl. The saurus soon took centre stage but they didn't really start hitting hard until the second half when the rats started falling like flies.

First few turns of the first half Mightypeons skink in the backfield couldn't pick the ball up in the mud, burning a few rerolls and allowing me to put pressure in his half. The skink eventually picked up but I was able to get it free and throw a few bodies around the ball. A scrappy finish to the first half and the rat casualties had started in my attempt to keep the ball free.
Also to note was my RO ko'ing the one tackle saurus for pretty much the whole game. In with a chance?

The second half started with me shifting everything to the left flank and covering the ball before picking up in the mud on the second attempt. Mightypeon covered pretty well, a couple of TZ on my gutter in the backfield. My second turn I went for it, blitzing off the skink, dodging the ball carrier through and handing off to the gutter still with a TZ on it in the pouring rain - success! Then the gutter tries to dodge in for the touchdown and gets snakes. I get another chance to get the ball later but it scatters and a skink catches it on a 6 - the same skink to run the length of the pitch to score with only a few rats left.

So yes, that convoluted match report to say that the result could have been different but I really wouldn't have deserved it. Mightypeon played the better game, I put too much emphasis on my RO and just generally don't know how to play lizzies. Found it great fun though against a nice opponent :)
