#9 Lekodzir Flametwister – Smashed Knee (NI)
#9 Lekodzir Flametwister – Broken Ribs (MNG)
Dismal first match for Bleak North Liquid Blades.

Nothing was cut. Flametwister cut down by the logical star of the match, Mechanical Workshop.. we think, those High Elves all look the same. Poncy bastards.

We had a bad coach, and no luck when we tried to do things you need a lot of luck to do.

The first half was a little back and forth at first, until School broke through, once. We managed to get close, but with the half running out it was pointless.

The second half saw School run through and around us, and saw another 2 TD's.. we think, we really weren't focused today, out at the spider races last night.

We think we tried to score again, but something happened..

Someone said we played like slow Skinks... we certainly handled the ball badly and made a hatch-job of dodging.

Still, was a good match, and School were well coached by Malthor.

Hip hip hooray! Next time we will destroy everything.

And we will train.

The Blades started in offence, and penetrated deep with a receiver, however their pass was intercepted on the LOS near the sideline by the lone Home Economics (1 in 3 chance) and the School advanced the ball down one side.

Both sides fought for and recovered the ball but eventually, the School ran in a TD.

With only 1 turn to go, the School thought it would be a safe 1-0 lead, but Injury Time gave the Blades a chance to level the scores before halftime.

Inexplicably, the Blades only put one player into scoring range, and the School mass blitzed him (3 dice) to down him and the Blades realised too late that their second receiver would not reach the end zone before the half time whistle blew.

In the second half, the School got a quick injury with a block, and despite dropping a catch (snake eyes) had the ball shielded. A dangerous series of dodges (4+s) saw another Blade player injured when he failed his dodge.

The School ran the ball wide and they had to defend against a 1 dice Blitz (push luckily) but were able to effect a second score to take a 2-0 lead.

Down 2 players and two TDs, the Blades were demoralised and the School pushed through to steal the ball and run out 3-0 winners.

A fun game against a fun sporting coach. Neither teams started with Apothecaries so it was dangerous stuff at times. Luckily for me, I took no injuries, but Pernicion was not so lucky with a niggled Lino.

Anyways, look forward to a rematch sometime!
