“This match should be used as a lesson for other coaches. I learned two important lessons:

1. This is what vampires in the hands of a patient and competent coach can achieve (I have an Academy Vampire team, so maybe I'm biased)

2. This is what happens to ANY elf team with less than 3 rerolls (I have 1) and depends on 4 Agility to compensate. 1s can and will happen to elves. I'm convinced that Nuffle hates elves and turns Agi 4 into Agi 1 as soon as the coach of an elf team uses the last reroll.

Above jesting/griping aside, Timlagor played really well and this should take nothing away from him. In addition to beating me 2-0, he also killed 2 players (one from a block/push, crowd-push combo), the second from a foul. Well, 2 fouls really, allow me to explain.

Chani the Lion Warrior was attempting to use Leap to break free from some Thralls and fell down. The Antitribute thralls quickly surrounded her and Michael Fotherington-Smythe closed in for the 1st foul. SI, stat decrease. I successfully used my Apothecary. This actually helped me as Chani had been stunned previously and was now in a position to roll over and stand. She did and attempted another leap, resulting in another fall. Rinse, repeat, foul, result RIP, and the ref still wasn't looking the right way. He must have been blind.

I did get a cheap foul in on his kicker at the end of the game, forcing him to use his apothecary. Apo was successful, but at least I had my 2 casualties so my FF should be safe, right? WRONG! Once again Nuffle "blessed" me with his attention and I rolled the only result that could have resulted in a FF decrease.

The future of Chapterhouse Dune is in serious jeapordy as the coach meets with ownership to determine whether the franchise can rebuild or whether they should just retire the team and start anew with rights to the names. Stay tuned!”
