#2 Grace O'Malley – Smashed Knee (NI)
#9 Jane de Belleville – Smashed Knee (NI)
1st half:

In the first drive of the game, Running Amuck came out all guns blazing. In the opening thirty seconds, a pair of the Pirates were out for the game, First William Dampier (who will also be missing the next game) to the ferocious minotaur Amuck, then Alvida, who took a nasty blow from the horns of Hopper and never recovered in time to get back out.

The pirates recovered quickly, putting pressure on the ball deep in the enemy half, and resetting to cover the gaps left in the line.

Charlotte De Berry then came of worse in a clash of heads with Lucky 11, possibly due to his horns, and was knocked out. This freed up Barak to try and relieve some of the pressure on the ball, and Captain Scott was taken out of the game by Chomper in the ensuing melee.

Running Amuck continued to pound the Pirates, but Barak's poor ball handling kept them in the game.

The pirates began to regroup, dusting themselves off and trying to land some punches of their own, and Guybrush landed a solid hit on Shrike, evening things up slightly, as he was removed from the pitch. Even better, Barak continued to fail to get a good grip on the ball, possibly due to the fact that it had been splashed with some of Scott's blood.

Guybrush continued his run of form, knocking over the mighty minotaur, and Sandokan made sure he stayed down. Jughead was soon after sent off for a cynical foul on Calico Jack, who had been trying to move up and attack the ball.

Roberto Cofresi was left to keep an eye on the Minotaur, as others moved to support the attack on the ball and cut of the passing routes.

Lucky 11 landed a heavy blow on Grace O'Malley who had looked promising during the preseason, damaging her back quite severely.

Guybrush and Calico took advantage of Barak's continued clumsiness, and recovered the ball, and Guybrush stepped through the arms of Barak and Chomper straight into the endzone. TD Pirates! And 1-0.

As Running Amuck again failed to secure the ball, that was the end of the first half.

2nd half:

The ball fell straight into Jane's hands from the kickoff, and Guybrush and Calico burst free on the left. Despite instant pressure, Calico managed to get right into the endzone where he was met by an exquisite long bomb from Jane, who had managed to avoid the blitzing Beastmen. TD Pirates! And 2-0.

On the restart, a poor kick lead to the game devolved into a brawl on the line of scrimmage, with the pirates rather predictably coming off worse. Even worse, Amuck had the ball.

Amuck broke free, taking a large chunk of Jane De Belleville with him, and ran for the endzone, but Roberto Cofresi spotted him and brought him down yards from the line.

Charlotte De Berry also managed to knock out Hanzy and get free ready for a pass down the line, but Tuesday made an impressive interception of Cofresi's poor throw. He the ran up field, handed off to Lucky 11 who strolled home.
TD Running Amuck! And 2-1.

With not long left on the clock, the pirates simply recovered the ball and made it safe with a long throw.

Victory Pirates!! 2-1, and a winning season so far. However, a trio of injuries have left the squad looking decidedly weak for the next game.
