“ROAM '09 - Round 1

*The crowd were out for blood in the huge arena of Crush-O-Leum. They wanted to see the field turn red.*

The players were quite nervous as they stepped into the arena. Both teams knew the start would be very important, both teams trying to make sure they would lose as few players as possible. But this is carnage, and anything coul happen!

And anything did happen. The field was quickly cleaned of players as both teams saw them fly out into the injury box, nothing major but still, the granite field was looking more and more like a war zone.

The Strigulas were hungry on this occasion, doing a lot of the Devils' work, sending out 2 player into the injury box quite early in the first half. The Strigulas almost scored but the Devils managed to get hold of the ball, but didn't score as an eagle player was single-handed onto the field by an undead player.

2nd half looked more positive to the Devils, not only starting with 1 player more, but having 2 players with enormous strength. But alas, the Devils were day-dreaming as the Strgulas went for the attack before the ref had whistled his little golden whistle. Many say they started the play before the ref had blown his whistle, others say they were simply faster than their opponents - whatever the case, they threw a little fragile down the field while the ball was high in the air. This little fragile player got hold of the ball, and later dodged but fell, which could have turned into a TD.

From this onwards the Devils looked stronger; they got hold of the ball, went on the attack and comfortably scored to take the lead. This lead they defended well, with a slight chance for an equaliser at the end, but this didn't materialise and the match ended in a victory for the Devils.”
