Obba Championship, Season 7 - Round 2

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.... Nuffle really doesn't like me this season. After the completely one sided game in the 1st round, it didn't start well in this game either...

Hullon got some great handicaps... Virus (ruling out my Ogre and Tom Walley my claw beastman). He also got "It wasn't me", on my new CW John Barnes II.... so I was already down to 10 players up against 15!!

The Khornets received first, and knocked some greenskins over... but the first foul my DP Andy Rankin put in on a prone BO resulted in a stun and a sending off... Gah!!!!

We then barely managed to hang on to the ball and prevent an orc score before half time. But we did.

2nd half saw the delayed effects of Hullon having to install his client afresh before the game kicked off, as as soon as Duncan Welbourne scored a casualty (BH) the game for Hullon froze after he had said no to the apoth. We duely reloaded...

And then Pat Jennings inflicted another BH from a block, and yet again the game froze for Hullon. Upon investigation he found out he had to install an new Java client... but I was already with a KO or two, down 4 spps, and 2 casualties for the stats, and feeling pretty miserable.

Finally the game got technically sorted out, and we finished uninterupted. Hullon's orcs scored early in the 2nd half, but the few remaining chaos players replied with a fast counter.

We almost had a position to grab a winner, but the orc numbers ensured the ball was safe.

In the end we didn't suffer any permanent casualties, and luckily the fan factor didn't go down despite the lack of 2 cas's. However 30k wasn't anywhere near enough to make a dent in my new Ogre savings fund!

Thanks for the game Hullon. Sorry if I was miserable, but I hope you can understand why! :)
