Despite the scores for the Ogre you see (138/120) they were down on players - 9 I think? What was the great equaliser was their skill set and great dice at key moments. For sure, both coaches had good luck in places - I was able to thin out the goblins to nothing and thought "ok, now getting somewhere" - save for bad kicks. 2 bad kicks handed the ball to Ogre ball carriers who didn't bone head and more or less walked through my players down the field with Break Tackle and 3 dice blocks. At the end of the 1st half I knew things on the cas front would change - they always do with this norse team. By end of second half I was loads of players down and the Apo had been used to stop a niggle - so brave Zephra bought the farm. Unfortunately, being dead, he can't do anything but be buried on it.

Bluemi is a good coach, fun, and took up the challenge - to wipe the field clean of my players - pretty good. With rerolls having been burnt through a while ago (having to -2 dice block will do that vs so many 5/6 str and guards) and the dice firmly in the Ogres favour by then, I could only watch as a failed pass was scooped up by an Ogre who GFI twice and attempted a quick pass to score a 3rd. That failed, so I count myself lucky, but over the course of the game I think the luck was maybe slightly more mine in the first half, definitely Ogres in the 2nd, along the lines of a complete shut out :S

Hardest game for my Norse yet! Not in terms of injuries and players left on the field (the record stands at 3) but for the dice really favouring the Ogres with regards them not having to pick the ball up and bone head working at key moments. Still, that's the opponents I prefer to play with these Norse, so am happy to accept that sometimes we'll get mauled physically AND tactically.

Took the advice and got kick for a player - that may help, especially given this teams path to destruction - playing as many ogre teams as I can :S
