“Paragon of Malevolence was matched up against the undefeated Higher with Elves led by the #1 Coach of the BlackBox Division, CircularLogic. The Wishmaster knew they were in for a tough match but his team rose to the occassion. PoM received first and blood began to flow from the start. Emeyin seriously injured the High Elf Kicker with an elbow to the throat. Medics came out to attend to him and fortunately they were able to heal him without any permanent damage. D'Angelo followed it up by strangling a prone Lineman and killing him before his teammates could pull him away from the victim. The Dirty Player was then seriously injured on the following turn for being too aggressive and putting himself in the front lines. PoM was able to get the ball away to Armand and he ran in a quick touchdown. There was no stall as Elric was in trouble and they did not want to take any chances with a Leaping, Strip Ball Expert on the prowl.

HwE received with plenty of time to answer back. They decided to play a running ground and pound game. It was a viable strategy as they had the Guard Specialists to do it. The Dark Elves bid their time and waited for an opening. All of a sudden, with time running low, the High Elf ball carrier made his move. In his haste, he tripped and fell (snake eyes) fumbling the ball on the 7th turn of the first half. PoM recovered the ball and laid on top of it as the clock ran into halftime.

HwE received in the second half and this time they went with the traditional drop the Passer back. They weren't able to send a receiver deep as they may have gotten a little bit carried away trying to bash their Dark cousins into the turf. The Dark Elves put pressure on the ball carrier and he was flushed out of the pocket. The ball was given to a Lineman and he made a break for the end zone. Nagash was freed up and the muscular Dark Elf Lineman knocked the ball carrier down on his second attempt. Emeyin recovered the ball and held on to it. Unbelievably Excellent stripped the ball from the PoM Team Captain but the ball landed in two tackle zones. HwE sent an Elf to dodge in but he fell on the ball instead launching it right into Linken's hands.

Linken handed the ball off to Darwin but the Lineman was brought down about halfway towards the enemy end zone. It took all the High Elves resources to get to him and that left the Dark Elves with a chance to put the game away. Elric badly hurt the lone Lineman guarding the ball while Draeke recovered the ball. With no chance to catch the Blitzer, HwE, faced their first loss in 21 games. The winning streak was an impressive feat but we all know you can't win them all.
