2-0 Falchions vs. Bears

Going in the Falchions studied game tape of the bears, as they looked extrememly formidible after their dismemberment of the Not So Giants in their last matchup.

The gametape they studied helped them immensely, and with a good bit of luck the falchions didnt hand over the ball as they have been prone to do in their last two matches.

Atlatl took the pitch and elected to recieve, hoping to put a couple bears out of play and to shore up a 1st half lead. The Bears bad kickoff put the ball into the hands of Atlatl's rookie saurus. With a 1st turn late hit coming in and putting a Bears lineman on the bench (KO) their plan looked solid. The bears set a trap for the Falchions down their right flank allowing the birds to run down the side then they planned to trap them in and pound to their hearts content. Unfortunately Sid Luckman the bears star and on field coach went out for a bender last night and was having a hard time remebering who and where he was nevermind the gameplan. Several individual fights broke out on the pitch but the falchions were able to preserve their posession of the ball and rookie saurus Ryn Stench'k scored just before the halftime whistle blew.

Falchion 1-0 at the half

The Bears had a bully boy drive going to start the 2nd half, the ball popped loose a couple of times, but nothing they weren't ready for as they picked it up before it ever hit the pitch. Both teams lost a player to recovery due to late hits in the opening plays of the 2nd half also. The Bears were prepared and ready. It looked like Brian Urlacker was going to run in for a relative easy TD, he was surrounded by Falchions skinks and only had to get a push of any sort on a 2db and could easily BT dogde his way off to an easy score. Unfortunately Brian was too set on delivering some punishemnt and he just beat down the offending skinks and was unable to safely BT dodge his way off. The Falchions jumped all over this opportunity and quickly bashed the ball until they came up with it, which they quickly brought back to midfield and the general scrum. With a couple of timely hits the falchions were able to clear some running room, and recover the ball after they lost it to another well executed Bear blitz, skink Tham'os Br'un was able to sprint it in for a final TD as the whistle blew.

Final Falchions win 2-0
Falchions improve to 2-0-2 and face DeTroit next.
Bears fall to 1-2-2 and face the Bucs next.

GG lawman, WP and thx for the match, a single roll or 2 at the critical moments was the decider this match.
