Atlatl and Arizona went into this matchup banged and beaten up. Atlatl had 9 bodies available for this matchup and Arizona was missing 2 key players who needed the week off for recovery.

Atlatl won the coinflip and elected to recieve hoping to put enough of the Arizona ratz out of comission and try to even up the numbers a bit. Atlatl was able to make it a 9v9 match on the field before the Cardz even had a chance to move with a quick KO on the LOS and a late hit niggled noted dirty linerat Ben Graham. It was a game of skink and mouse throughout most of the 1st half with the rats dropping suprisingly resounding blows, including a Karlos Dansby hit that left the lizards big man on the ground moaning that he was going to need a week off. Atlalt's apoth. walked out and reminded him that if he doesn't play he doesnt get fed. He quickly remembered that this wasn't all that bad and was up in moments. Arizona was also able to knock the ball free but was unable to claim it for themselves. Atlatl reformed their protection of the ball and was able to bring the ball in for a score with little time remaining. Arizona didn't approve of the score and took it out on the lizard saurus. Victor Hobson delivered a brutal hit and a big saur was out for the rest of the game just as the halftime whistle blew.

Arizona was now recieving and planned to make it count. They lined up in an attack package and Victor delivered another hit just as the 2nd half knocking Atlatl's monster saurus Qu'in Ojn'aka out for the rest of the match also. Two big hits delivered nearly back to back, and the fans were clamoring for more. But while the rats were in attack mode they left the ball exposed and Atlatl was quickly ontop of it and had scooped it up almost instantly. The Cardz had to scramble on defense and gutter runner An-two-an Boldin ended up going for a surfing lesson. The Falchions looked to be about to break the game open with a 2nd score as their skink scampered through the rats defense. He looked to have every move mastered and only needed to make his final dodge and he would have been off to score. Instead he went down next to the sideline and dropped the ball into the fans who kicked it back to the center of the pitch for the rats to restart their offensive drive. The brutal assault by the rats continued and they had the lizards down to 4 big guys to start the 4th quarter. But Jam'al Sandsen seemed to be everywhere on defense, knocking rats down at every turn preventing them from getting the ball forward. Finally a well timed blitz by Travis LaBoy freed him up and Arizona was able to weather the storm for the equalizer.
