#2 naca'Xoxuhkwi – Broken Neck (-AG)
Round 6, and a much battered, but still determined team of Lizzies took the field with some trepidation, to face a veritable crowd of humies.
Coach Luo had a quiet word with the only two skinks able to take the field, stressing the importance of staying alive first, and scoring second. The two skinks shared a look, and took the field with their larger brethren...

The game started with a bit of a blow - Xoxi' was obviously caught trying to sneak a pair of brass knuckles onto the pitch, and was singled out by Ozymandias, who sent the saurus straight back off the field and into the injury box.

From there, the humans managed a fairly easy score, despite a scrappy, and somewhat untidy defence. More surprisingly, the second drive started with a massed pitch invasion - unruly fans (obviously favouring the underdogs!) pummelled numerous Watchmen players, leaving them stunned.
Taking advantage of this lucky break, the Lizzies set up for a quick drive down one side of the pitch, and nearly succeeded, but for the efforts of Silk Spectre, whose fleet-footedness matched the skinks, managing to bring down the ballcarrier just on the line.. Luckily, Captain Tamalli was there again to save the day, and a sneaky breakaway blitz pushed a human lineman into the ball, which popped free, only to be scooped up by oLotl, who managed to scamper away for the equaliser!!

The second half.. wasn't so rosy. With only 7 players on the field, pushing another drive wasn't going to be so easy, not unless the fans felt like helping out again..
The Watchmen sent a long kick down field, meaning that, while the ball was safe, a quick touchdown was out of the question..
A couple of fumbles later, and with humies pouring through the gaps in the defence, it was only a matter of time before the Watchmen put another one over the line.
With Totol in the KO box, 6 Lizzies lined up for another try. A wobbly looking, but superbly placed kick meant work was to be done, and once again it was a difficult task to cover the gaps. Kuau tried to even the numbers, but now the Watchmen were hitting their stride, and sent both 'Shark' and the Captain off the pitch in quick succession, and despite a last ditch effort, the Watchmen notched up their third.
3-1 down, and now with only four players to take the field, the Lizzies looked nervously at the clock.
Once more into the breach, and with the sun now really beating down, a fumbled quickpass meant that it was almost a certainty that the Watchmen could score again. As the humans ganged up and cut off the remaining Lizzie players, Dollar Bills understudy, Doc Manhattan, tried to toss the ball down to the waiting blitzer, only to have the sun flash off the helmet of a dwarf in the bleachers...
With the seconds ticking down, and Lizzie players struggling to break free and stop them, the humans managed a (really) short pass... a near fumble... the blitzer juggles the ball as he runs down the pitch... only to lose his balance and the ball just as he crossed the finish line! The whistle blew, and it was all over bar the shouting (and apparently, the apothecary saving the life of young Ozymandias, who clearly landed really badly in his efforts to post a 4-1 score).

Twahnlows:
3pts - #3 Silk Spectre: Quick bugger of a blitzer who was a real nuisance... and a bloody good player who crossed the line twice.
2pts - #4 Ozymandias: For the first turn (and only) casualty, and for the spectacular trip on the whistle.
1pts - #12 Dollar Bill: Backbone of the team, and a real benchmark for human throwers.
