"Well, we needed a win and we got one. As long as you shut up neither the others or the fans will know any different AND it has taken the edge off Joxxa's death. Well, hasn't it?", growled Joseff.

"Yes but he wouldn't have wanted this", Boris shouted back.

"What the hell do you know what Manfred wanted", instantly regretting it. Joseff was only glad that he hadn't blurted out the possible connection with his would-be assassin and the Joxxa family. "Look. You know I didn't mean that. Fred was close to everyone. We're all tender at the moment. I did this for everyone."

"That doesn't make it right"

"No but it makes everything else more bearable"

Boris stalled, sighed and quietly left the room.

Joseff waited for a long while before opening the adjoining door to the room to let the necromancer, Ewood, into the room.

"Well. What did you find out?"

"I found out that she is indeed a high elf mascarading as a dark elf". It would appear that the high elves aren't as honourable as they would like others to believe. She killed the elder Joxxa brother. I'm sure she had a hand in the death of your Manfred also. She was in the crowd when you were attacked, was she not? As for her motivations. You will have to find that out yourself, mortal."

"Very well. Here is your gold. It should cover your loses on the field."

"It won't but I hope you will remember whom you owe, in the future. Lord Fyre."

Joseff raised an eyebrow at this and ushered the necromancer out and to the rear exit of the stadium. He returned promptly, closed the door, sat down, poured a glass of Brettonian blanc and sat with a smile crossing his face. "Well we have a necromancer who thinks we owe him and we have got the team and fans back on side. Did you believe a word of what he said, Marcus?"

The newest member of the Joxxa family to join Brymstone, entered through the hidden partition door and sat opposite him. "She killed Merrik, that's for sure, she may have had something to do with Fred's death too but she is a Drow, no mistake. Her name is Elinia Cargol or Elinia the Smite is her, erm.. working title. It seems like my family have crossed people who seriously shouldn't be crossed", he laughed.

"Who might they be?"

"I'll have to look into that. You've got to remember that I'm not exactly in my family's good graces at the moment. I'll have to be delicate but when I do find her, I'll have to take my revenge."
