#9 Brick House Pig – Dead (RIP)
Well what a game my first entre in to a tournament. To be honest I didn’t think I had much of a chance to win this but a chance is a chance and i got lucky early. Got the coin toss and His star player Niggled and he had to use up his app which left him open to some CAS, and luckily for me they came in the second turn of the drive against 2 of his guards.

Caged and got lucky with no downs then it was just a mater of pushing through and trying to cover the gaps. Two GFI got the line orc out of blitz range. Thought about stalling but that never seems to end well for me so ran it in first opportunity. That left him with the one thing you don’t want to give a dwarf team time.

He made a charge down one side and I manned up sending one Blitzer into his half to try and pressure. He failed a block roll with frenzy which left his runner open 1d block went my way picked up the ball and ran it in with GFI. That really changed the dynamic of the match with Lomack ( Who’s a great coach with some solid strategies going on ) trying to rush it a bit taking him off his natural game.

Second half he tried again down the side, it turned into a bit of a brawl. I managed to sack the ball carrier and got the ball at one stage but failed a dodge that would have taken me into open space. Lomack recovered well and went for a long throw into the endzone to a waiting runner but it didn’t come off which left his runner open to a crowd push. Got the ball away again but failed a catch in the centre of the pitch after that it was another brawl in the centre with lomack taking it away for the TD. No blitz on the kick off sealed it with lomack trying to apiece the angry fans with a turn 8 gang foul luckily the troll. Luckily the must have eaten the dwarfs boot to lessen the blow. And its off to the next round with only 1 RIP on a LOS line orc who had it coming the whole match.

See you round Lomack great game but no soup for you. one week :)

#5 Sapphire Steven – Smashed Hip (-MA)
#12 Big Tony – Broken Neck (-AG)
First round match for Warpstone Open V (>)

A fun match.
First of all the Dwarves' star runner, Andrew niggles. - apoth is use on him.
Two SIs (perms!) on consecutive blocks on the Orcs Turn 2 meant two guards for the dwarves wre missing practically all game. with apoth used it hurt.

The Orcs scored a nice touchdown, first sucking Andrew forward, before their own thrower ambled his 4MA forward and made a nic pass to the MA7 Orc speed freak.
he promtly caged and made a nice break.
SOme more stalling was in order really - I think a totally safe stall was there - but the orcs scored early in the first half - give in the dorfs 4 full turns to stike back with an equaliser before receiving in the second half.
Things were looking good - and when the orcs were pulled to one side things looked very good - with Andrew eyeing up the endzone for a 3 turn dash for it.
Here is where the coach Lomack made a fatal error - assumign Grim to have 2d on a block when he onlty had 1 d led to a nasty turn over withtout the ball carrier moving or a host of other players - - the orc player rushing forward to press Andrw duly 1d powed him, pciked up ball and scored all in one turn ;)

2-0 now and the writing was suddenly on the wall for the dwarves - a massive turn around.

The Green Skin Tsunami obviously knew that the dorf would be looking for an early touchdown in the seocnd half, and came out all guns blazing - with a blitz to start things off.
It just wasn't happeneing for the dorfs - a nearly made pass to score in their Turn 5, (only failed because of Lomack's block mania pushing an orc in to a spce that proved to end up next to the passers throw).
Saving the Ground and Iron team from total humiliation (thought the loss is still grudge-worthy) was the slayer The Hurt - who scored a BH, and then managed to pick the ball up gfi, and short pass it to the waiting andrew to finally score in Turn 7.
The Dwarf fans held their breath as the kick off roll was made - hoping for injury time - but a bad kick ensued.
A bad tempered and meaningless last two turns were fought where the troll was gang fouled - but only stunned.
The Hurt, the passing dwarf slayer, fittingly skilled up +AG after the match - fun - but Ground and Iron's coaching in tournaments needs serious improvement if they are to make any 'waves' (see what I did there? ;) ) in the world of fumbbl.

I'm afraid I can't say good luck for the tourney Transient - as though I'd like to human to human, dwarf to orc it just doesn't work ;)
