“The new season opened with a match against PeteW's rookie Woodies.

The Elves received first, but a perfect defence left them in all kinds of trouble and an early error let the Dwarves in. The Elves recovered well, but a failed dodge allowed the Dwarves to take over, stalling for 1-0 at the half.

After the break the Dwarves received, but a Blitz by the Elves left them out of position. The Dwarves prepared a cage, but the runner double 1's his GFI and the Elves took full advantage. However, the Elves decided to throw some blocks and failed, allowing the Dwarves to recover the ball and score for 2-0 as the game came to a close.
