First half - We'd Been Drinkin gets the ref! After a T2 apo use, we figured we were in for a little housecleaning, with some new players to buy after the game. We hang tough and take a few shots at the ball, putting it on the ground once, but a squirmy escape, an unfortunate turnover (snakes on a GFI to mark the ball carrier) and a failed last-minute blitz (2 dice, just pushed) let Sean dodge away for the TD.

Second half - Hammer > Anvil gets the ref! (we both had 19 FF) It was time for some payback, dwarf style. Starting the second half down 8-9, we immediately started chopping the odds down to our liking. An aggressive defense by the humans created a wall between our blitzer (who'd gone back to get the deep kick) and the rest of our team. We got aggressive ourselves, punched a hole in the wall, and passed through (to a slayer, no less!) and ran away for a 3-turn TD. With an unfortunate number of KOs coming back, it looked like our plan to win might have backfired, but we grind away at the human ranks and wrest the ball away, eventually screening off our blitzer with the ball and able to jog in (1 GFI with reroll available) in T16 to cap the win. The subsequent OTT try was thwarted before it got off the ground when the intended blitzer caught the kick :)
