“We receive first and on T1 score a MNG on a journeyman in return for our DP getting sent off. T2 and their hungry tree blitzes our blodge wight for a KILL + regen fail! T3 and they score a -ma injury on our other +AGI wight (regen fail)!! Ouch! There goes our hopes of building up for the crown of sand!!

The ball is free in our backfield but with most of both teams swarming around it no one can pick it up til we recover on T5. They knock it free nicely on T6 and on T7 when we think it's safely surrounded a lineelf dodges through to pick it up in 2 TZs and pass it downfield... but the ghoul next to him intercepts! He sprints downfield to make it 1-0 on T8.

All 3 of their KOs return so it's 9 vs 9 as we kick off. They rush it into our half in a wardancer's hands on T2 but we engineer a 2d blitz from our wolf who tackles him down for a BH before picking up the ball. We then make a foolish mistake letting their tackle/wrestle elf pick wrestle vs our flesh golem instead of a push... freeing him up to 2d blitz the wolf! He duly wrestles the ball free with their last reroll... they have a lineman who will score if he can just pick up the ball... it's a 1!!! We then -ma injure him, plus niggle their wardancer; when another elf KOs himself on a dodge they have just their tree and 2 elves left on the pitch! We hand off the ball to our guard zombie who can now skillup with a TD and run him towards their endzone. T6 and with their tackle wrestle elf the only one keeping up we manage a quad skull block that gives him a chance at the ball carrier.. but he rolls a skull! We run in the TD on T7 and the match ends without further incident.
