“The Grughill Wild Boars capitalise on the slings and arrows of some ourtragious fortune to come away with their first win of the campaign.

The Wild Boars lost the toss and were set to defend first. They had a nice dose of luck though with a kick scatter to the corner followed up with a perfect defence. This luck was magnified when Flatulence Adams contrived to injure himself on a 2d both down block in the Smells first turn. Luckily for Flatulence he saved himself from the worst of his coach's ire by regenerating.

With the midfield now wide open and the Orcs looking to get a blitz on the ball Petulance tried for a hand off to regain the initiative. But Nuffle decided to twist the knife and induced Skanky Sam to fail his catch roll. For the rest of the half both teams scrambled after the ball, but it refused to be tamed. Smells and the Gang rolled a disturbing number of 2s on their 3+ pick ups while the Wild Boars showed a worrying obbsession with trying and failing unnecessary GFIs.

The second half began with yet more fortune for the receiving Wild Boars as a combination of a wild scatter induced touch back and a quick snap set them on their way. Magwik the thrower took the ball down the middle of the pitch and after surviving some close calls found himself with a little breathing space and a bodyguard with which to stall it up for a turn before scoring in T7. Score 1-0

Smells and the Gang now had two turns to try and rescue the draw, but Nuffle put an end to their hopes by rustling up a blizzard to finish the game off.
