#12 Snorri Lepersson – Serious Concussion (-AV)
The first 3 TDs can be summed up as disaster heaped upon calamity teetering upon misfortune as everything that could go wrong for the Nurgle's Rotters, did go wrong. The 3rd TD was a result of a lag-induced misclick causing an unrerolled both down blitz with the ball-carrying Pestigor.

Then came the 4th. The combination of a pitch invasion, this time in favour of the Rotters, a touchback, no hope of any result, and a Beast of Nurgle on the LoS, left me a tantalising prospect - could I....?

The ball was thrust into the vestigial arms of the slobbering Bubor the Infectious, and with a boot to the rump to send him on his way, he swatted aside a Marauder as he began to career down the pitch, his team-mates running interference.

For two turns, he made steady progress - indeed, he gained a square with a chainpush from a team-mate Rotter's blitz, which also got him away from the marauding Minotaur. Then, the play of the game - with a Dark Elf on one side, a goblin on the other, and no standing team-mates to tell him what to do, a Rotter stood up and dodged to mark the Dark Elf, at least giving Bubor the 3 dice he'd liekly need to down the slippery greenskin. In a moment of clarity, he smashed aside the Goblin, badly hurting him, and rumbled into the endzone, for a glorious, and rare, Beast of Nurgle touchdown in just 3 turns.

Cheers to Rooke, who managed to restrain himself from laughing out loud at the sheer woefulness of my dice (and the wild good luck of his own!) - always nice to find a gentleman opponent.

Ya know, it all had the makings of a perfectly good nuffling until that 'thing' decided to go on a touchdown gallop. It was fascinating, and embarassing all at once... Like watching a train wreck, while you're the one who is supposed to be operating the train instead of wrecking it...
That said, I have absolutely NO reason to gripe at all. The dice pretty much spent 90% of the game tipping in my favour, and my opponent handled it with class the whole way.
Thanks for the game, and best of luck to you on your next match!
