“Legendary Infestation achieved their first legendary goal today - a complete pitch clear. By turn 5 of the first half, 7 followers of he who shall not be named were removed from the game. At this point Legendary Infestation spent some time attempting to score, and so the half ended 1-0, and only 1 more player was knocked out in the last 3 turns. The second half saw the knocked out player avoiding the pitch, so the Legion had exactly three players on the pitch - 2 chaos warriors, one with block, and a beastman with 9 AV. The chaos warriors smashed down.. one Nurgle Warrior, while the second warrior somehow sprinted down towards a wide zone. The beast man flew back as if his master himself chased him, picked up the ball on turn 2, and long bombed it all the way to the wide warrior! An amazing 9+ roll successfully completed! 3 Infested were able to chase the warrior down.. but even though he was knocked down and massively covered, the warrior simply got up, ignored the follow up blocks, dodged 4 times, picked up the ball, went for it twice, and TIED THE GAME! This was turn 4.
The crowds went insane! Rioters poured on to the pitch, 17000 angry nurglings trying to figure out why this chaos warrior wasn't being tested for steroids and hypno gazes! The ref pushed back the clock. None of the Legion woke up, again. So still with only three players on the pitch, Legion of Voldemort attempted to stop the Legendary Infestation; on turn 7 (the 16th turn of the match), Legendary Infestation gangfouled the last beastman off the pitch, successfully clearing the pitch for the first time in their coaches history! The ref was too busy ignoring all the fouls, and Legendary Infestation also scored on the same turn; this time the followers of he who shall not be named rioted! They couldn't believe the ref was just going to stand and accept that! Again the clock gets set back, and this time two journeyman beastman manage to wake up, apparently more terrified of their master than the Infestation. Pestigors sprinted down the field, passed the ball successfully, as Nurgle Warriors beat up the poor journeymen. Final score: 3-1.
