“Well what a game....for all you fans that like a mash and bash game, this one is for you.
The first half saw the lizards start with an advantage from a player being knocked down by the fans. The Orcs really never recovered and with fast feet and sticky fingers the Liney managed to run through, grab the ball and dash over the end zone. As we have come to expect with the lizards that TDs always cost injuries and it wasn't long before the Orcs fists started talking.
The half might have ended 1-0 to the lizards but the players were not equal, 8 Lizards vs 11 Orcs. This was aided by a rush of blood by a Lizard and running halfway across the pitch to pat an Orc on the back, to say 'well done'. Only for the referee to send him off for a foul. Speaking to the coach later he reported not seeing anything as he was busy looking for the Budsman's representive!
The second have looked like it was going to be a white wash for the Orcs and in some sense of the meaning it was, the snow had came. The kick was long but the players on the lizards side were short of numbers. Every turn seemed to see lizards falling of the pitch. One turn saw 3 lizards ko'd but with the Orcs trying their best not to pick up the ball all was not lost. Well, we say not lost - it was only a matter of time before the Orcs ran in an equalizer. There was a glimmer of hope for a final blitz from the lizards (all 3 of them left) but the coach called the wrong play and left the door wide open.
The whistle goes on a 1-1 draw with the Orc fans cheering every lizard in the hospital and the Lizard's fan walking away, some not returning....a sad day for the coach.”
