“WIL Premiership - Round 6

Up against JanekT's impressively skilled up lizards, and we've yet to register a win this season. We're almost certainly looking at relegation unless we can score some wins in the 2nd half of the season.

We receive first and immediately get our DP zombie sent off with a stun-foul, booo. They manage to KO our skinkhunter wight on T2 and on T3 get a POW blitz vs our ball carrier, also for a KO. This leaves us way out of position and the skinks swarm in around the ball, while they remove a few more of our players. T5 and they make it 1-0, though at least at this point we've made them burn up their apo to save a niggle on a saurus.

We receive again and push forward well, but on T6 they make a nasty blitz with their BT saurus, making a 3+ tackle with BT, then a 5+ one without to POW our ball carrier and then catch the ball on a 6!!! Fortunately we can get him down with a 2d block, but they have players all around the ball and we just can't manage to get it into the endzone before half time.

We kick off and on T2 when our wight withstands a +4 DP foul he can get a 2d blitz on their skink with the ball to knock it free! T3 and we can steal it and we move into their half. T4 sees them make a nice 1d block vs a mummy to free up their kroxi who blitzes our ghoul but can't find a POW, and we can finally make it into the endzone with our last reroll on T5. 1-1!

They collect the ball and move towards the halfway line, but we immediately make space in the middle with a couple of 1d blocks and run through to knock over their skink and steal the ball! Our wrestle ghoul then also manages to KILL himself trying to dodge through for support, and they surround our ghoul. Out of rerolls and a double skulls means they get a turnover, and on T8 everything goes right for them, including a POW on the ball carrier and an agi2 skink catching it... and they handover and GFI twice to make it 2-1.
