First FC Round. An old 8 Ogre team.
I had been confident that i can make that. But TTM wit a MV 6 snot or beeing outnuffled can srew all. I thougt i will take some damage but luckily survived without :-).

The match startet very hard. I recived and faced perfect defenc. The ST5 guarding wall was like hell for my zombies. They are not really dodgy. I had to do 1d blocks trying to weaken the defence and were unable to break trough at the beginning. Then a KO on a Wolf foul and both golems stunned gave me some headace. A few bone head fails on the oges just helped not to get totally hopless. Snakes on trying to get my carrier free with a 1d block looked grim again. But still the Ogres could not get the ball an win ground. It was a five turn struggle around the mid line with neither side really moving forward. After i managed a surf of one ogre i could get into TD range in turn 7 on the sideline protecting my front an back. I think the main strengt of that ogre team is the massive BT on nearly all ogres. And the one in range used it to break through two TZ´s an powed my blodge carrier stunning him. The ball landed nearly unrechable to score. (Zombie dodge into one TZ, picking the ball there, doding out again and then passing it O_o). I decided to try hitting a snot and ogre instead trying to get the numbers down for second half.

The KO ogre stayed in the box so the ogres were down in numbers. 11:9 and only 6 ogres reciving. Guess now the main mistake was made. After blizzing and positioning the ogres tried to pass with the snot fetchign the ball to get it on the down side where their main force was positioned. I had kicked i upside and here the kick skill helped. It would have fallen in the center making it easy to get to the ogres with the picking snot. The pass fumbled. A wolf and wight now could move near the ball on the open upper side. But nuffle stopped me with double 1 on my GFI to hit the snot near the ball. Nevertheless i had penetrated the field. The oges had to defend the ball in the back and are engaged in line combat. My wolfes could now use their hitting power getting 2d blocks. The ogres startet to leave the pitch. Each turn it got worse for them. Adding two fouls cleared the field in turn six.

I felt that despite failing important moves or blocks with snakes and beeing outstrengthened, the skills of my team compensated it. Blodge and even kick helpe well. But especially first half i felt that fend really worked out not to loose to much ground against the ogre wall.

Thanx for the great game. I can´t remember that i cleared the pitch befor. Especially with my necros.
