“A good game played in great spirit. It started perfectly for the elves when Jane Austen leapt in amongst the Dwarfs and knocked Fáelan the Fleet into the BH bin and spilled the ball. The Apo saved Fáelan though and despite Churchill swooping on the ball Nuffle turned against the woodies in a big way. Suddenly the armour was breaking, the leaps failed. The dwarfs, outnumbering their prone opponents and in a fury of blood got foul-happy... Next thing you know Mad Drust had taken down Churchill, picked up the ball and carried it over for the first TD.
5 elves took the field and the Dwarfs were confident. When the Wizard's fireball fizzled and Woody Allen got dragged down and dropped the ball into a nest of dwarfs their confidence grew, but Katherine Mansfield knew better. For 2 seasons she had been hiding her talents until the time was right... and now it was. She burst loose, picked up the ball cleanly under pressure, dodged around the flailing arms of many a dwarf and sprinted her way to the equalizer. Truly one of the best individual efforts I have ever seen.
It was however futile. The dwarfs still had plenty of talent to field. The elfs had five, then four, then three, and few of them could stand. They took to skull blocks and KOing themselves for their own safety. Who could blame them with 2 elf babes waiting in the dug-out. Fáelan returned to the pitch, crossed his 400th rushing yard and scored his 18th TD to secure the win.”

Except for one small detail; those elves NEVER gave up! I have personal testimonies from every elf who was there until the last turn, and they all said with almost straight faces that they were trying their hardest the whole game! I looked in the badly hurt bin and I saw all those grievous broken fingernails myself! And you can be sure I'll file a report for investigation into your team's illegitimate cas-causing tactics. I've got my eyes on you ruffians... I'll have you know that the director of the Referee's guild's sister's boyfriend's barber's coworker's drinking partner is my next door neighbour! You can be sure the referees will be keeping a good close eye on your players for the rest of the season, and beyond!”
