#12 John Lennon – Fractured Arm (MNG)
Thanks for the match Whario. I know you were frustrated.

I have to agree I was very lucky. This was truly a helter skelter match.

The first half saw him doing very well. He got very lucky with the armor rolls, and knocked out several of my guys early. His problem was that he did not protect the ball well enough. I was able to get it free from his skink due to good play. That is where the luck kicked in for me.

I Grant dodged away from the krox that was marking him and headed down the Northern sideline. I was able to put a dwarf on every saurus around. He was forced to blitz a dwarf standing next to the saurus and then run over to mark the ball carrier. Ensued a rather funny (from my point of view) dance of mark with a long beard, one die blitz with the ball carrier, dodge the carrier away, and move further down the field. The grand finale of the drive was a dodge and two GFI by grant for the score.

The drive truly was must see tv.

The second half was almost as good. I am down by a player or two to start the drive. Inexplicably, he bunched his players in the center of the field. I retrieved the ball and mad some blocks, pushing my runner far up the field. I realized my mistake too late. The Krox knocked a longbeard out of the way, and the saurus came charging straight at me. 1 GFI, 2 GFI, Trip. Whew!!!

Now things got good. The blitzerran as far up the field as he could, hit the GFI once, and threw a long pass to the runner but burned a re-roll doing so. The runner ran for the corner of the endzone but could not get there. A skink came to cover him, then came the blitz by the saurus, knocking him down and the ball into the crowd.

The crowd must have been beard fans because they threw it to an area near my blitzers. Then the dance began again. Blitzer picks it up, gets marked and knocked down. Other blitzer picks it up, dodges and gets further away. True comedy. The entire match is worth watching. With a final blitz and a dodge, Robert Lee scored the second time to seal the match.

I wish replays had the coaches comments. They really added to the atmosphere. The final hilarity was his T16 frustration foul on a downed slayer.
-------------------

Dude, you really need to learn to control your emotions. We have all been screwed by Nuffle. I guarantee it will happen again, but next time it may be your armor as the other guy seems to cas on every play.

Also, protect the ball carrier better. If I had not gotten the ball free, I could not have gone on the scoring return with the ball.

Also look at your defensive set up. There may be better ways to do it. Dwarfs are slow. I was short handed, and you had the speed advantage. You should have been swarming me rather than let that runner free down the sideline.
