2nd round of the XFL and it was mental, just like Blood Bowl should be.

Eager, the team raced out the blocks and sent several key opponents to the knockout box, swarming the throwers and knocking them out too. With the ball turned over, it became a one sided beating, although the ref sent off every foul.

The 2nd half started with the SpaceBoyz badly outnumbered. Another foul, hell, why not. 1,1 - a 4th player sent off in 4 fouls, 6 doubles rolled out of 7. A player hurt, the ball dropped, and things just went badly wrong. From a seemingly insurmountable position, we were forced into overtime without any rerolls left.

Panic.

Fortunately JackRose's knocked out players were 1/7 so far, so still the fast agile blitzer and the two throwers remained out the match.

We win the coin toss and receive. More fortune.

The kick off result yielded a reroll. Even more fortune.

Emboldened by the 2nd half come back, the SpaceBoyz raced out a bit too far, and we stole away down the line, a blitzer on the ball and covered well by his teammates. There was no stopping the 'Saws victory. Just a goblin with an outside chance of... double pow and catches the ball.

Bang, surfed. Ball gets chucked back towards the halfway line. Our own goblin nips back, and the black orcs position themselves around him. There is one last shot for JackRose, a second -2D hit on the goblin. The goblin survives, and it is sweet victory.

On to the 3rd round 'Saws! Unprecedented competition success for these mottly orcs!

#12 Lobba – Fractured Skull (-AV)
The luck was really crazy all game long, with the most unlikely result happening at least as often as the most likely result. How many times did I see a reroll into skulls, a successful -2d block, a one dice pow? A lot! To say nothing of the armor breaks - a quarter of my team was off the pitch by turn three, and most of them never came back! I expect more toughness from my orcs! XP In the end though, the match went to the person who earned it - Chainsaw was on his game, and I wasn't. I could learn a thing or two about positioning from that old man to the left! <---
