Unfortunately, Nuffle was surely against them, at least in the first half. Fails to pick up the ball, fail to break armour despite some 15 blocks with MB against AV 7, fail to throw halflings, fail at everything possible. Additionally, the trees armour was broken 3 times, never with MB. I shake my fist at you Nuffle!
The other side of the coin was the blitz-ra's. While damage was not terribly high, especially for flings, every time the blitz-ra's went near the ball, they picked it up. Or caught it. Or dodged it. Or did whatever it is AGI 5 elves do with the ball.
This resulted in 1-0 at half time for Nasty Retribution.
The second half saw Nuffle go back to normal-ish dice. Nasty Retribution recieved, and caged up beautifully. Then Hewie said NO! and charged forward, -2d against Rush-Ra, POW! POW!, dodge past more and more skeletons, go for it, pick up the ball in multiple tackle zones, and go for it and dodge again to be in the rear of Nasty Retribution! GO HEWIE!
Then Get-Ra smashed Hewie into the Badly Hurt box.
But the ball bounced onto the sideline! And finally, FINALLY, a blitz-ra failed to pick up the ball! Halfling fans everwhere rejoiced and threw the ball into the middle of the pitch, far from the hordes of Khemri! Baloo went for it with everything he had, 2 turns in a row, no re-rolls, and SCORED! WHOOOO
Nasty Retribution recieves again, picks up the ball (no problem right?), and starts moving forward. A tree manages to THROW A FLING! Perfect blitz set up! 2 more flings go for it and dodge twice each so that we can have a 2 die block against the blitz-ra... and PUSH! GAAAAHHHH!
Khemri smash the remaining flings down, stun the trees a few more times for good measure, and roll in for a second touchdown.
All right. Turn 15. The ball is kicked; Dry-ack smashes all the skeletons away from Dumbledore and Lewie. Another fling grabs the ball, goes for it twice, and hands of to Lewie. Dumbledore THROWS LEWIE! LEWIE SOARS THROUGH THE AIR! LEWIE FLIES LIKE AN EAGLE! LEWIE FALLS LIKE A ROCK! LEWIE .. splats.. like.. a.. macaroni....
No final touchdowns for the Lazer Beamz.
