First outing for this all-dead, no-skill, Ag 2 roster, and for most of the game they did what they do best - fail Ag 2 rolls - while the Slann did what they do best - Leap for a 1d on the ballcarrier.

Receiving, the Faelers caught the ball on the bounce - and almost never had a handle on it after that. Caging, they looked in good shape despite pressure, until Turn 3 skulls ended the turn short and the Slann dodged and 1d blitzed the ball loose. The Faelers did well to keep the ball out of the hands of the Slann for the next 4 Turns (one failed pickup and a failed dodge helped), but it took them SIX tries to finally get the ball in hand by Turn 7, missing out on potential breakaways, and then they failed the 4+ pass. The Slann threatened Turns 7 and 8, but with no RR's they couldn't make it happen either - 0-0 tie at the half.

Second half the Slann were down 9 players to 11, and some risky advice led them to put two 5-spp linos back to skill up with fluff passes while stalling for the 1-0 win, while the other 7 frogs played bash with the 11 Faelers. The 2 got their skill by Turn 2, but by then the pressure was on, prompting a Turn 4 "punt" well away from most of the Faelers, that should have worked - but a freak 6+ Int started another ruck for the ball. The Faelers had it for a moment, but next turn another 1d leaping blitz put it on the ground again, and the Ag 2 failed another pair of pickup rolls to end Turn 6.

This time the Slann dice did not fail them - a Leap, a 1d blitz to clear the only player marking the ball, a dodge and a pickup, and 2 GFI's - but to the sideline.

The Faelers had a chance for the surf, set up the assist - and snaked the final GFI. Turn 8, with a RR in reserve, the Slann dodged away for the game's only Score, and the final T16 kickoff was meaningless.

~Probably~ would have gone easier in 2nd half if Coach cdassak had NOT listened to that certain "questionable" advice, but he got his 2 linos their skills and still salvaged the win - grats!
