In their inaugural NBFL match the Sinners faced off against the AFC leading Bull Trots and comported themselves quite adequately.

They had several early 1st half opportunities to get at the ball, but their dice didn't quite cooperate, and once the Bulltrots got their act together they were able to surf out a few rats and open up things.

The 2nd half demonstrated why it's so hard to stop those gutter runners, though the Bulltrots weren't that worried about allowing an early TD anyway. The sinners took theirs on turn 3 after a 1d was followed by a dodge and a gfi. However, the attrition rate proved too high, and Steve Grogan was able to finally secure the ball, while the cadre of blockers mauled the remaining rats and NA took their time just bashing and slow caging their way down the pitch for the turn 16 winner.

I hope you enjoyed the game FRSHMN, and I hope you enjoy the league :)

Sinners have finally arrived in NBFL!

I agree with Licker's sum-up. First half with some bad dice here and there (but although for the Trots) leading to Star-Gutter Leon Hall leaving pitch badly hurt. But Sinners managed to bring some pain to the Trots, too (sadly, nothing more than KO, but what else to expect against those bone head dwarves). After the Trotters managed to pick up the ball, it was just a matter of "Is there enough time to score?" or can the brave rats slow down the offense long enough so they run out of turns. As it turned out: Not enough rats to effectively stop them :(

Second half saw a fast Sinner's touchdown and after that, a slow but unchallenged offense by the Bulltrots. Nothing to add here, just standard.

Happy to haven't lost too much to my inaugural match. Looking forward to second half of the season. And yeah, I enjoy the league, great to be part of it.
