#5 Justin Theram – Smashed Knee (NI)
After much delayment, game day finally arrived and the Crew were very surprised to be confronted to a high elf team... As usual, no one had bothered to tell them. Well, we'll give you that... it's not like zombies care who they are facing anyway.

First half saw an all blue Chad Barkson trying to bank in a first touchdown. Surprisingly, the werewolf resisted eating the pig skin enabling the team to hold on to the ball for the best of the playtime, only shortly losing possession when some elf ignored some zombie (or is it the opposite) to blitz the poor dog. Gladly, the very dependable Justin Theram saved the day, scoring a last second touchdown while farting a large crater in it's wake. After the game, it was discovered the massive fireball was a wizard's work.

Second half saw the Galaxy score a very quick touchdown. Too quick for the crowd it seems as it was judged some poor entertainment. All this degenerated in a riot, pushing back the clock and leaving enough time for the Crew to fight back. 5 turns were needed for Hector Merguez to score... which will certainly stay an unbreakable team record for a very long time. Then, again, elves showed poor sportsmanship scoring in a mere two turns... luckily, the crowd was half gone and a new riot was avoided.

***

Overall, a very fun and satisfying game against a sympathic opponent ! :-)

#14 #21 Tommy Meyer – Broken Jaw (MNG)
MLS Eastern Conference play season 19
Game #2

The Galaxy got a forfeit win in the first round, so they were coming into this game a bit cold. They gave up enough inducements to allow the Death Crew to hire a wizard. Although they used it on offense, it probably made the difference between a tie and a loss. Mike Magee was tripping all over himself today, always at crucial times when he could have been stopping or hindering a score. Tommy went out early and so Todd got a lot of playing time. The elves outmuscled the Crew, which probably means I was doing something wrong. But Josh Saunders and David Beckham lived up to their potential and bailed me out of some tight spots. Landon continues to disappoint while Robbie Keane just gets better and better. All in all, a fun game and a tie I am not unhappy with.

Thanks for the fun game and chat, mrbibitte3. Good luck with the zombies and the rest of the Eastern Conference rounds.
