These was a tale of 4 halves!
First half of the first half, frustrating blocks and a sleeping troll were met by lucky lizard success as an accidental 1D dropped Tomas Bot and the skinks survived to score. Second half of the first half, Xesediya continued to show she is up to filling Urdithane's boots with a blocking display that cleared the path of Tomas Bot to equalize.
First half of the second half, the Expatriates drive was comfortable and the Pirates once more were unable to shift their opponents. Then Smeat ordered the stall and the marauders woke up, salvaging the draw. Smeat may rue late decisions as the stall was dangerous and then he opted to eliminate the last Pirate player in range of scoring rather than focus on recovering the ball.
Our leader Sander Theysen is lost to us. We shall find another, but for the moment the ship will fly the jolly roger at half mast.”

Receiving 2nd half with almost a full team, the Expats had ample opportunity to score in the 2nd half, but Turn 6, with 2 of their Sauri out BH'd, they chose to stall "just one more turn" - and failed both the "Protect the Ball" rule and a no-skill Saurus block (Both-Down), leaving the ballcarrier naked to the blitz, and the ball fell pinned against the sidelines, and that's how it ended.”
