Death or Glory went for an early leaping blitz into the packed cage. He could only push the beastman carrier and he was stunned to the floor in reply. It looked like it was going to be extremely difficult to steal the ball from this compact strong side and their brutal clawpomber Rizk had ko'd three elves and killed Tyrion well into the first half. But a Chaos Warrior had been given the ball and as Sacre Vice moved into the centre he struggled with the beastmens pace and shockingly fell to the floor! Death or Glory leaped in and got the ball out though he fell to the floor when failing a dodge. The Chaos though couldn't conjure up the score after a failed scatter back to the thrower. Next kick off Ultra broke a beastman's jaw.
Things looked much more promising for the second half now. Teclis Dart held the ball back for a while before moving into a cage in the middle after other elves escaped from the Chaos attacks on one flank. Terith also injured a beastman early in the half. As the beasts came back into the centre we decided to ensure the score and Terith received a handoff before getting to the endzone.
There was still chance for 1-1. But after using a rr on a pass a beastman slipped up and wrestler Galad was able to get at the ball carrier and smash him down. Death or Glory took the ball brilliantly and eventually Speed Kills took the 2nd TD. There was a big drop off in the Chaos hitting in the second half (bar some kos from blitzing and a clinical foul) and we end up with a good win.”
