#2 great white II – Smashed Ankle (-MA)
#8 tiger snake – Fractured Arm (MNG)
#10 brown snake – Dead (RIP)
good game against a good coach. cheers!

a 0-0 half time score could have made this very interesting, but it was not to be. losing great white straight after the quad skulls really compounded the misery, followed by some horrible ko rolls to give the dwarves a huge number advantage in the later stages of the second half.

thought i did enough to at least force o/t, but some elvish play by jimmy saw the winner scored in regulation, saving the few remaining predators from further punishment. probably should have tried to stop the score rather than protecting my mens, but that dirty dwarf was out of range when i hit end turn!

gg mate and well played. was always going to need some nice dice to win, but it was not to be today. gl!

#6 Party Boy – Broken Jaw (MNG)
Very enjoyable match, GG broski!

nufflehatesme won the toss and elected to kick - interesting - I guess he wanted to have all his best mens for defence.
He played D very well and even though I had a two man advantage for most of the half it never really felt like it. Ultimately though a quad skull saved us and from then on it was an elementary walk in and score.
T8 we put our SF mans on the line to stop the OTS but poor Party Boy was killed by the rowdy humans! Thankfully the apo worked for once but we will be without him for the match vs the dirty cpombers.
2nd half was a bit of a 'mare. I had the plan to kind of force the score by turn 5 but positioned really badly a few turns leaving the pressure till late. Had a shot at using the Wiz but with the AG4 Tackler able to recover decided against it and we were left with just 3 turns to score.
Some more bad play left only our rookie runner in range who was promptly smashed by the S4 Pomber so it was OT time... or was it!? We managed a sneaky chainpush and then had to use a RR for the only time in the match as the Blitzer Jimmy Fantastic ran to the endzone and caught a long pass from the Aesthetic Dwarf to win 2-1 in regulation!

Really cool game, and I ain't gonna lie, a lucky one for us. The pickers become the picked next match though as we face 4 C-Pomb legends - eek!
