“A very intense match, no doubt, which I want to thank to the_Sage. It was really brain exhausting! Here's a report of it (from my point of view, which is the only one I have).

The damned rain was a constant in the whole event, and it caused both of us some troubles picking up the ball. I have to say that, between the rain and the fact that he was playing woodies and me khemris, my hopes were pretty low from the beginning.

But soon the things started to cherry a little bit more. Not too much, as there was no (justified) carnage. A couple of KO's and a well placed boot that killed his leader-thrower, and I started thinking there could be a chance. He delayed the TD a couple of turns, but had to score somewhat in the sixth I think. This gave me the chance to try to score, which I tried... but suddenly my half of the pitch was being raided by angry woodies and my thrower had to seek cover in one of the sidelines between the mummies, and was not able to reach the TD zone. At some point I remember killing the wardancer with strip ball, which was nice. Also a mummie-pass that did not go well but couldn't have any bad impact for me.

The second half was usual Khemri stuff. I picked the bouncing ball with the wrong guy (a skelleton), but I did not care anymore, as the striping WD was already out of the pitch. I marched slow but firmly across the middle of the pitch, waiting for his Treeman to root himself, and hitting wodies as best as I could. At some point the match seemed to be sentenced to stay as a 1-1, me stalling and blablabla... but then I realized there were 26 spectators watching our match! 26!

I assumed the responsibility this implied, and decided to give as much spectacle as possible! 2nd half 5th turn TD with rain soaked Khemri vs Wodies! He without RR and with 7 players! Could not be any more interesting!

I set my players as best as I could to stop him from a 2 turn TD (my tackling blitzer had been killed before), but... and Nuffle had recognized my gesture and graced me with a Blitz! So this time it was ME raiding his half of the pitch, the crowd cheering and the bony cheerleaders shaking their... bones, I guess. Both teams settled players in positions that allowed they to score in the last turn, both of them tried to pick-up the ball... and we both failed it miserably, although putting enough tackle zones on it for the other coach not to be able to pick it up easily.

In the end I crowsurfed the WD instead of trying a desperate 6+6+6+6+ (or similar) play that could potentially have given me the TD... but that could also have left opened the chance that the WD leaped and did some dirty elve magic.

All in all, as I said at the start, a very interesting match : ) Thanks the_Sage.
