“Bad dice struck the Lizards Turn 1, a perfect coffin-corner kick to the LoS followed by a snaked GFI to get off the sideline (1/36), the worst bounce possible (1/8), and the Frogs started strong with a recovery and what looked at first like a defensive score.
But then the a skink blitz recovered the ball, and at the end of Turn 4 the Frogs applied good pressure BUT shied from marking the obvious blitzing Saurus with their AV 6 Passing Catcher - and after that, as extra punishment, the dice turned against the Frogs for the rest of the game - painful.
One Blitzer was KO'd and refused to wake up for any drive, and more went off the field one way or another, and the Lizards made the last no-RR 3+ pickup to score T8, 0-1.
2nd half, down 3 players, the Frogs had a plan for a 2-turn score - but their Krox failed to move, and it was their turn to snake a GFI for the opening blitz, leaving position in disaster. Turn 2, the Krox again declined to join the party to Blitz the ball clear, ending any real challenge. Lizards stalled a bit, but finally were pressured to score with a j-man Turn 6, 0-2.
2 Turns for the consolation score, 1 RR, and the Frogs got into position, but the Pass never got thrown as the initial Leap required RR and the only dodge also found a 1.
Good news is that the J-man was the one to take the perm, so no loss there.
Good game (other than the dice) - we want a rematch!”
