Ook ook! First win this season for the Cong! The vampires got off to a great start, reducing us to 8 players in no time and getting the ball deep into our territory. They scored early, probably because they wanted to transfer the ball to a vamp and it's always tricky stalling with vampires due to blood lust. Still, they didn't have any Blood Lust fails until the end of the 1st half. Good thing for the Cong it was 2 back-to-back fails and put them in a bad position. Also, both teams got the ref on that kickoff and were not shy about testing the ref. The Cong was able to score, albeit it was close and the vamps did get a shot on the ballcarrier before the end. 2nd half the Cong had the numbers advantage and kept it the entire half. The Merc got a nice foul in before getting his ankle smashed. The monkeys had the Dragons down to a single vampire before finally scoring on the last turn. The very sunny weather came back to haunt the Dragons on their final pass attempt for SPPs.
Thanks for the game, CanvasBack, and good luck the rest of the season. I hope your vamps can also get a win soon. That Vancouver team is pretty overrated, I'll try to soften them up for you.
