“90TV down against a successful Lizardmen team this looked like a tough matchup. First half we started with a somewhat ropey drive after the ball was kicked near the side. Xavier did a great hit to send a Saurus to the apo but Snow was injued in a failed dodge. We had to do plenty of dodging to advance and Swan eventually scored in the corner after a skink was also injured in a failed dodge.
Killa Killa, the m9 skink then carried the ball. After what seemed a misclick leading to a Saurus trip in a blitz Spider wrestled Killa to the ground. But another skink recovered the ball and advanced again. We were just able to put a couple of lines ahead of him, he managed to stumble through our grasping hands but still fell in the endzone! Half-time.
Elyoukey was extremely quiet and seemed to be satisfied with slowly going for the draw 2nd half. After the Krox went dumb we put a couple of linos on their carrier. We were so close to stopping them again when a skink went out after blocking one of the Elves and we started crowding in more on t16. But incredibly S4 team leader Ajax double skulled a blitz on a Saurus and died! The apo could do nought to save him. This team just cannot seem to keep a full roster of players. I don't think I have ever had a high quality player die on a double skulled last action of the match before. So then the Lizardmen just needed the pickup and a gfi which the m9 skink managed to grab the tie. What a change from t15 to t16 this match, but a good defensive performance.”
