I'm still a bit frustrated about how this match went! I feel I didn't play bad - but got 5 TD against nonetheless... :-(

All in all it went pretty much as expected. The low down mice started with air scoring a touchdown in his first turn - nothing I could do against it. In my first turn the Bomber threw a bomb - and badly hurt air. But Pyates got lucky with his apo being able to patch him up. My offenisve drive then did progress as expected. The Skaven were not able to break the cage and the couldn't slow me down too much. In a desperate move Pyates had mack dodge into the cage. Needing a 5+ he made it using his dodge skill. The following 2d against block brought POW/PowPush. A lucky scatter, followed by two lucky throw-ins brought the ball just in front of his players and from then on it was pretty easy for him to score.

From then on the match was pretty lost. I scored in T4 with Pyates chosing not to really try to hold me off. Air then made another one turner. Double skulls on the LOS allowed him to steal another TD. As the game was lost I tried to score with a BOB and made it, followed by another one turn TD by air.

Oh, did I mention that he got one perfect D# and two blitzes? And the Bomber failed two out of three 3+ throws soaking up two rerolls and taking himself out in T3? Well - if his apo had failed on air it would have been a different story but as he succeded there was nothing I could really do.

Nonetheless it was somehow a funny match and big congrats go to Pyates for playing well, showing a very pleasant attitude and being a worthy winner of this tournament! (Now I only need to find out how to roll doubles on skill rolls...)”
