“It's been a long time since I had a match like this. It turned out to be a true scorefest (9 touchdowns), but there was a lot of blood involved as well (9 casualties).
When the game started I found out the opposing rats had a natural one-turner in their ranks. He would score all 6 touchdowns...
The Pearled Unicorns suffered two injuries in the opening turn and would be outnumbered throughout the whole game. A blitz in turn two (after the first one-turner) left us with an opportunity to take the damned gutter down, but I rolled a quadrupple pushback (perhaps I should have gone for the 3d after all!). Turn two and 2-0 behind.... The good news was that 14 turns remained to do something about it! But then a pass got intercepted and suddenly I was 3-0 behind. A last effort to score once before halftime miserably failed as well.
The second half started with the Unicorns receiving and this time we managed to score (thanks to our ag5 leaping blitzer)! The rats reacted with their second one-turner for the 4-1 score. A snake on a dodge ruined the ensuing offense and resulted in 5-1. A smooth elf attack eased the score somewhat to 5-2, only to be followed by yet another one-turner for 6-2. After that we managed to squeez through again for a score in two turns: 6-3. This left the rats with a last opportunity for a one-turner. A riot on the kick-off even doubled that to two turns. But this seemed to confuse the rats and they didn't score anymore. A pity perhaps, because that would have sent this match for sure in the records of high-scoring games!
