“The Founding Fathers won a hard fought struggle against some really annoying Dark Elves. After stealing the ball in the first half, the Fathers forgot their Blocking training and had to spend too many rerolls on skulls. So Washington was left without protection when he attempted the dreaded goalline GFI - 1, fall, lose ball and TD. Through some daring play and a fair bit of luck, the elves got the ball back and were a turn from the goalline when Jefferson swooped in - POW, elf falls, no TD. Unfortunately, they dodged through a bazillion TZs and made a pickup and a pass in bright sun all with no rerolls. <sigh> But then nuffle decided to smile on one of the Tool clans (yeah, that doesn't happen often) and we got a Riot. Clock rolls back, and Jefferson is able to make it into a 2 gfi scoring range with the ball. All the elves can do is throw up a road block, which the Fathers knock over and make the 2 GFIs. Score 1-1 and quite a few elves don't come back. The 2nd half was mainly just the Fathers grinding down the pitch and removing dark elves. The only disappointing part was Washington dropped the first hand-off attempt and I never got a chance to try another. At least the MVP went to a newer player and several Blockers got SPPs. Never did get to use the Chop Block or the free Bribe, but the Distract card was nice.

Like all the Tool clans, the Founding Fathers will continue to nurse a grudge against all elves. But today was a win and we're content with that.”
