“This was a tough pounding for the Plebeians. Lacking blitzers is a problem but it was the power of the Tiny Toons that swayed this one.
We hired a merc Ogre to make up for team strength difference but he had a howler of a match. The Plebeians were blitzed from kick off but managed to get the ball from Jesiah to Zebedee to score a fairly quick TD. A loner was killed in the process.
Then the Toons came back at us and showed further strong hitting. The guard Tomb Guardians were tough to deal with. We did get a chance to take down the carrier after a chainpush but it was not to be and we went 1-0 down at half-time. Not only that but the Landlord was killed after tripping up and the apo could do little about it.
2nd half undermanned we tried out best but it wasn't quite enough. After some ball juggling a rookie skel had the ball and twice he was left open to be blitzed. The first one failed, a shame as it was a great chance to surge through their side of the pitch. The 2nd time we took him down well, but by then were surrounded and the Khemri Throw-Ra was able to get the ball back and get the winner before half-time. The hapless OGre had his skull cracked.
Tough life for the understrength and bankrupt Plebeians these days.”
