We knew going in that this was an ugly opponent for us to face, almost every player had Guard and Tackle and some Stand Firm to boot, and a Blodge AG4 Ball carrier for good measure. We had a long bench and kept fighting for our chances, but every time the coach thought "this is it now, just a little luck and..." things went wrong for us. Despite too many failed dodges, we still might have stopped the Dwarf drive in H1 but then our Diving Tackler was hit by a Custard Pie. We had a relatively easy one turn opportunity but then Phoebe stumbled on the goal line. We still made it to overtime but then we lost the coin toss and 4 KOs stayed out. We still got a total of 5 halfdice on the ball and finally managed to knock it lose, and Prue picked it up in a tackle zone for a decisive punt, but then she failed the 2+ dodge. The Tree rolled double skulls when the ball was still free (if well covered) and wasted our last reroll. And then of course the Dwarves made the 4+ pick-up, when our AG5 was ready to snatch the bounce if it went the right way.

Not meant to be I guess, but the way Nuffle kept teasing & denying made this a really frustrating match. I tried not to whine but didn't succeed completely. Grats King_Ghidra and good luck in the main event. :-)”
