“At a press conference scheduled later that evening the assembled reporters quickly hush as the side door to the repurposed meeting room opens. Flanked by her coach and the peasant's new spokesperson, Albert, Captain Katherine makes her way over to the question table with a confident swagger. Taking the central seat, but politely placing her hand over the mic facing her until her entourage are seated, she then clears her throat and starts to address the room.

"We gave it our all today and came out on top. Make no mistake this way a big win and a showcase of the true potential of this team. The Knightly Virtues have lost the past two matches, but this was due to belated feelings of loss over the untimely yet honourable death of our previous Captain - and Lord - Baron Volo de Neuf."

Katherine pauses to offer a short silent prayer, the reporters politely waiting for her to continue. "... May the Lady watch over his soul, amen." Looking up she gives a firm nod. "Our time for grieving is now over. We will be hammering our opposition into the mud with every ounce of strength we can muster. With the Lady's Blessings on top our victory in future matches is assured. However, even should our Lady's attentions and blessings be elsewhere we will endure, we will show courage and bravery and take on any challengers in our quest for glory. We won today 4-nil up against a dangerous team of bloodthirsty brutes including towering trolls, bizarre yet deadly contraptions that really have no place on the pitch and even against the infamous star Nobbla Blackwart. Such a win is glorious indeed." Smiling she glances to Albert and gives him a small nod. "On that note I would like to particularly praise the efforts of our team's primary squire, Albert. While he wasn't quite the most valuable player of the match it cannot be denied that he defeated a troll single handedly - striking a blow to its skull - Hurg the Knave or something his name was - that fell the beast instantly. Albert is now the team's representative and spokesperson for the common wing of the team. While less glorious than the nobles like myself their courageous efforts and valuable support must be recognised. Albert, please, some words."

"Um..." Albert gulps, smiling awkwardly at the reporters, then leaning forward to speak gently into his own mic. "W-we gave it what for. Err... we just, um, followed Lady Katherine and the other knights and fought as hard as we could. Um. Yeah. It was a good game."

Chuckling suddenly the lady reaches over to slap him good naturedly on the shoulder. "A humble servant if ever there was one, yes?" Some of the reporters and other press join in with a few cheery laughs and the atmosphere in the room becomes less formal almost instantly.

"So, there you have it. We took out another player from the Poshgits as well, which we do not apologise for - any good player accepts the risks of the sport. However, we do regret the loss to friends, fans and family of those deceased. As such we will be sending a consolation hamper to Graham's parents... kin... whatever it is that snotlings have that pass for family. Anyway..."

Looking about the room she leans back and nods a few times. Clearing his throat her coach makes an open palmed gesture to the crowd. "We now open the panel to questions."

There is a clamour of eager reporters lifting their hands or shouting out questions as the energy in the room rises to a sudden crescendo.

"Albert - please tell us how you're taking the nickname "the trollslayer" being bandied about by fans so soon after the match?"
"Lady Katherine, Lady - What about your own hat trick performance?"
"What - WHAT is your - WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS OF UNNECESSARY VIOLENCE FROM DIMITRI ON YOUR TEAM?"
