“Final game against the Wolfskins under their original management. Always good fun.
This was the first time since season 2 that we held our own in a reasonable manner during much of the game. We even came out on top in numbers during the beginning of second half, forcing the Skins to score an early 1-1, having ended first half ahead by one. We fet fairly confident that our fine catchers could score once more for 2-1, but then came a blitz and the ball was covered by a wall of Skins. The ball was dropped and after an amazing turn we had Zach Fulton running the ball ahead in the rain. They couldn't get any blitzes in thanks to screening heroes, but managed to doublemark Zach next to the end zone. A needed dodge, hard into the ground.
Wolfskins took over the field and looked fairly confident. Maybe too much so as we managed to blitz the ball free on turn 7, but it was easily pick up and scored.
We set up for 1 turn, and Stephen Hill did his thing for the first time since his leg was broken. It was wonderful to see. Great to see Jeff Tuel stepping up and getting him the ball!
Still undefeated by the Skins!”
