“A riot, a pitch invasion that only downed 1 player (who just scored!), 2 blitzes and plenty of crazy plays and general mayhem.
Knights actually caught the first kick off after blitz, but Griffin saved the day, and Cornelius Washington had an amazing run to get away with the ball for a TD and a cas, for which he was awarded the MVP. Great game for this new Vikings player.
Vikings scored 2-0 after blitz, even though the Knights actually got the ball. Tim Brown was sacked and the bounce was picked and thrown by Griffin, again against the odds throwing a 6+ pass to Stephen Hill.
Brown was killed on the next drive after David Brown dodged into several TZ in a row to get at the ball with 2d. Knights still scored 2-1 before halftime, and rode into 2-2 after 4 turns into second.
Vikings had 4 turns to score and went up both flanks. Donnie Abraham had caught the kick off and advanced into the middle when the flanks were closed. He left a 2d on himself open and Knights coached called him out as feeling lucky. He was indeed as the following 4d failed to do anything, and when the next block was double skulls there was no more reroll. 3-2 with one more turn, and game over.”
