The Raiders lined up against these Elves and were blitzed immediately. A linerat was pow'd down and the short kick was seized on. A shock and so Headcrusher was sent to blitz into the crowd of Elf players. He tripped up after pushing the Elf. A calamitous start indeed. The Rogre then also wailed on the floor for the next couple of turns and the High Elves scored. The High Flying Passers were boosted by cheering fans as we received again, and the Rogre failed to do anything again when trying to blitz! Also the following turn. Incredibly inept. It left us under pressure though eventually Headcrusher and a linerat made space and Snutz was able to get through with cover to score before half time.
The Elves then had a quick snap and with fine chainpushing, a dodge and gfi was a step from scoring. But he tripped at the last moment.

Second half the Elves quick snapped again and made their advance. We couldn't quite work the hit on the carrier, perhaps not blocking the right way, and they quickly scored the winner. We came back after a riot and were in a reasonable place. Then an Elf dodged into our cage and pushed back our carrier Zloos. We could score with moving one Elf out of the way. Though at t6 it seemed a bit early and maybe we could try to improve our position. But either way it came to nought as Headcrusher failed to move in to Guard and a Stormvermin skull rerolled skulled the needed first hit! An Elf hit Zloos down and caught the ball. We had an outside chance to regain the ball but again a Stormvermin skulled! It was all over and we go down in a poor 2-1 defeat.
After Nuffle freakishly saving Notbobby last time we played long ago he seemed to be taking an interest to our detriment in this one too. But despite the disappointment at least we didn't suffer perms. The High Flying Passers go off to enjoy their fine winnings.

"The elves lined up against the rats. A blitz, an opportunity to recover the short kick was seen. A fearsome Rat Ogre came charging at our lines, but tripped on the grass, leaving the ball uncontested. Without a rat in sight, we scored. As the crowd cheered with the beat of our hearts, we kicked for the rat. The Rat Ogre, still dazed from it's mighty fall, spent most of the round wobbling in place, raging at foes that did not exist. We put up a valiant defense, but the rats scored on us again.

There was little time left in the first run. A long throw to our catcher, a few pushes to get him close enough to the end. A blitz into a gutter runner, a tricky dodge, an inch from the end line... but our catcher tripped into the goal, dropping the ball.

It was the second half and we made a speedy advance. The Rats tried to cage us in, but a quick attack at a weak gutter made the gap we needed. Once again, with the entire rat forces surrounding us, we slipped across for another goal.

We kicked to the rats. They advanced so close, our bravest dodged into the cage, allowing us to get at the gutter runner with the ball. A perfect strike knocked the rat and the ball to the floor, allowing us to toss it away and run it away from our goal line. While the end whistle was blown before we could score a third time, our victory was secured.

With this 140% display of pure skill, we enjoyed our riches of our winnings, and wish our ratty friends a nice game next time.
