Perhaps the most anticipated game of the entire season, the two Best Teams Ever faced off in the final game of the group stage last night. Tensions were high right off the bat, as Coach Kobin Raas came off of a dissapointing loss to Randiga Rustningar mere minutes before kick-off in this match. The opening did not dissapoint, however. Faiköping won the toss and elected to receive, but did no damage on the line of scrimmage. Arne Alkoholism, seemingly channeling the frustration and rage from Coach Kobin Raas, retaliated and killed Jack the Ripper in his first block of the game.
Not to be outdone by The Brave and Mighty Tranemo Terrors, Bonnie set out to do what she does best: pick up the ball, and run in for the score. Thanks to an unnecessary over-comittment on one side, she was able to do so quite unopposed.
Despite trying their best to screw things up, Sam Sophämptning managed to equalize the score right before the end of the first half.
The second half showed the Terros receiving the ball in a clear advantageous position. Needless to say, the Halfing Master Chef was there once more to throw food-shaped wrenches in the Terror machinery. After being a pair of block dice away from pushing both Bull Centaurs into the crowd, Bonnie again showed her brilliance double-dodging through tackle zones, getting a hit in on Leif Lokaltrafik, stunning him. The ball bounced into the crowd who threw it into the other end of the pitch, and while the Terrors had a couple of turns to try and make a pass for the winning TD, with only three opposing players left on the pitch, the lack of re-rolls meant they had no chance of making it.
