Crazy game. The Mongrels feared the worst going into this one against a very bashy Zoat side, and those fears appeared to be confirmed with two linemen KO'd in the first 2 blocks. But thankfully the Mongrels had hired Vinnialdo Jonesio, a vicious red-haired lout from Western Albion who accidentally, brutally killed Zoat Bulloros in the first of several 'honest 50/50 challenges'. The Mongrels swiftly followed this up with further damage by Cirdan, Dain and the clawed Wilhelm Cheney, opened up a route to the ballcarrier and the dwarf put him down. Elf catcher Aelion smuggled the ball away and an unlikely 1-0 lead was secured.

The second half should have been a lot easier, but the Mongrels had forgotten how to block and stuffed up four dice of blocks to safeguard the carrier, resulting in the remaining Zoat sacking the catcher, the ball going into the crowd, followed by a fortuitous throw-in which allowed the Zoats to walk in the easiest of TDs from nowhere.

Extra-time followed and the Zoats won the toss. An unlikely comeback looked on the cards, but the Tileans just about prevailed in the last turn after several turnarounds - some further woeful blocking by the Mongrels, and several stumbling Zoats. Crazy game.

Well, you only have to look at the injury report to know I got diced, but wow, the dice stats are ridiculous. I rolled 29% ones on single d6 rolls! 20 more block dice but fewer successful blocks. 68% pushes and skulls.

This one was pretty much over on T4 when DrD got his third consecutive cas on a Zoat (rip apo rip as well). This would've been a 2-0 stomping barring an untimely failed block which allowed a hit on his ball-carrier followed by an amazingly lucky throw in for me. Because of that it went to OT, which was never in any real doubt even though I did manage to get the ball for a turn.

An ugly, ugly game. Really, I'm super fortunate to not have suffered more perms. My Zoats are going to have to build for quite a while to get even close to where they were going into this match.
